Truckers on strike in Shanghai


Wednesday april 20th 3 pm: About 1000 people (and 100 trucks) took part in a strike in Waigaoqiao port area in Shanghai. The price of gasoline has increased resently and the drivers are very angry. Rumors says several people died in the clashes between protesters and police / army. Dont expect to hear this in the evening news if you are in China.  Here is a video:

A Shanghai taxi driver told me today he heard a rumor that the gasoline price will be 10 RMB/liter beginning May 1st. We will see what happens if that rumor is true (price today is close to 8 RMB)
